With the help of faithful customers and the experience he had established through many small and large residential as well as commercial landscape design projects he had made a mark for himself. Attending numerous flower shows, tradeshows and water garden seminars sparked a new love for Joe in the water garden sector of the industry. In 1988 Joe & Donna moved to Lincoln with their family where Joe built his first pond with all the same mistakes most home owners make. What a disaster! It had leaks, algae, dead fish and the filtration was terrible. With the overwhelming demand for ponds and waterfalls, Joe decided to change the name of the company to encompass both divisions of the business and so the business became Earth & Water. Earth for the landscaping division and Water for the water gardening division.
