We make sure to have all water running next to the driveway instead of on top of it! We will construct ditches and install culverts where necessary to make sure your driveway will not simply wash away down the hill. One of the main problems homeowners and property owners deal with in East Texas is soil erosion and water runoff. Our team at Frontier Land Works is very experienced in dealing with these situations. There are multiple ways of dealing with this and every situation is unique and requires a different approach.

Here is an example of a recent project where water was holding around a customer's house and eroding soil next to the slab. First we constructed a “swale” ditch to divert all standing water away from the house and down the hill. Next we ran underground gutter drains to stop erosion next to the house. And last we installed “erosion carpet” in the ditch to stop any erosion in the bottom of the swale ditch.

Needing a yard graded or topsoil added? Frontier Land Works can take care of it. Lots of contractors these days just build the home and don’t pay any attention to the yard or its landscaping. After a home is built, it is vital to bring in topsoil and level out the area surrounding the house where the yard will be. This will ensure proper drainage so that no water is holding anywhere and will also provide the correct nutrients and soil structure to support grass growth.

This yard was very uneven and rough to the point the owner could not even use his lawnmower. It also had water holding in multiple areas. We were able to fix all drainage issues, level the entire area, and bring in multiple loads of topsoil to fill in the low areas.

Needing dirt work done? There is no project too big or small for Frontier Land Works. One of our repeat customers called asking for an area to be built up and leveled off for a fire pit. We brought in 3 loads of dirt and created the perfect area for a relaxing evening campfire. This is just one example of the multiple smaller jobs that we complete each month.
