Oftentimes, we find a few unexpected “pets” while working in crawl spaces.

This guy didn’t bother me much… but the cat hiding down here with glowing eyes in the dark nearly gave me a heart attack. 😂

Spiders don’t bother me much. How about y’all—would you keep working or crawl right back out? 🕷️

Mr. Scott was the guy every contractor hoped was working that day. He could find just about anything in that store, and if you weren't sure how to fix something, he'd usually know the answer to that too.

I have a feeling a lot of us are going to spend a little more time wandering the aisles now that he's gone.

Thank you for helping so many of us over the years. Rest easy, Mr. Scott. Praying for his family, friends, and everyone at Duncan's Ace. You'll be missed.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and beloved team member, Scott Wood Breeding.

Mr. Scott was a key contributor since our very first day in the hardware business, faithfully serving customers and community for over 15 years here at Duncan’s Ace.

Just last year, we had the opportunity to honor and celebrate with him and his family as he received a Golden Hammer award for over 50 years in the hardware business.

Scott was considered the “guru” of all things plumbing and electrical! He brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team from his many years spent in his family owned business, Wood-Breeding Lumber Co. Even though he’s been unable to work for almost a year due to his medical condition; we still have customers, almost daily, ask for him by name. His knowledge and character are irreplaceable.

Please join us in prayer for Joy and the Breeding family as they endure this difficult time of loss and heartbreak.

Today I had the honor of touring the historic Bromley House and preparing an estimate for its restoration.

This beautiful home has stood for well over 100 years and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's an important piece of Perry County history.

I'm incredibly grateful to be trusted with work on a place like this. My hope is that what's stood strong for the last 100+ years will still be standing for the next 100.

Preserving history isn't just about fixing old buildings. It's about protecting the stories and craftsmanship that make our communities unique.

Thank you to the homeowners for trusting Bunker Hill Builders with this opportunity. It truly means a lot.

I'm excited to share updates and document the restoration of this old beauty along the way.
