Homeowners are replacing the chimney with an electric fire place. The old fire place was demoed for a new eight inch vent stack. Lakeview was called on an emergency to temporarily patch the roof before a thunderstorm that was due to hit the next morning, which provided a peace of mind for the homeowners which kept the area dry during the storm. Once structurally repaired, we went back to remove eighteen square feet of shingles on each side of the ridge to install new ice and water with a felt overlay to receive the new vent stack.
