Trailers are loaded by yard crew. Leave with loaded flatbed trailer, deliver to customer site, customer unloads, return to yard with empty trailer, drop empty trailer and pick up loaded trailer and deliver to customer site.
There may be one long-trip delivery or multiple short-trip deliveries each day
Transport large concrete structures by truck to customer site - typically a construction site.
Routinely inspect tractor and trailer(s) for mechanical and safety issues and perform or schedule preventative maintenance as prescribed
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations
