It has been a great week. Recently we had the opportunity to re-light and refurbish the marquee and sign for The Royal theater.

During this process the current owners of the theater found the Original hand-drawn plans of the signs by Arkansas Sign and Neon.

The Royal Theater sign originally was designed and installed at the Royal Theater in Little Rock which opened on September 13, 1910.

The Benton theater (originally the Imp Theater) purchased the Royal sign in 1948 when it was renamed.

Here are the pictures I was able to take of these historic documents the new owners found in their archives.

We are all extremely proud to be a part of this.........still.

Still super proud of this huge project we did 3 or 4 years back. I'm glad to see Harding University featuring it so proudly.....still!

We've been around a long long time. This was our first "new" truck after WWII.
I am trying to research just where The Texan theater was located. I may have to call the Ark. Heritage dept.

It is with deep regret and sorrow that I have to pass this news on.
We lost our once long-time leader this week.
Eddie Ashley was here for many many years. Even after his retirement, he still came around to make sure we were doing things right.
Please keep his family in your thoughts as they prepare to say their good byes to their Father (and great-great grandfather). He will be so missed by his family and his work family.

Rest in Peace, Eddie. I know you and Charlie will have plenty to discuss.

We sincerely hope all our customers, friends and employees have weathered the past weeks storms.
With that being said, if there is anything we can help with just email or call.
I know that there will be a lot of customers needing and looking for contractors to repair their places if they weren't completely destroyed.
A good place to start when looking for a contractor is the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board. I've included their information below.
This will be your best line of defense to ensure you won't be a victim of a scam. Whether you're needing signs, electrical, or general contractors, this is your best place to begin.

Another note to mention, be sure whoever you chose is insured.
Ask for their Certificate of Insurance and call the issuer to verify. As we all know, it is too easy to forge a document and make it look legitimate.
