HAPPY FRIDAY YALL! We made it out to the gardens for some garden snacks/harvesting of peas and weeding. The little guy collected some Lagos Spinach for his morning smoothie. We put a new coat of paint on our sign holder.

We set out to accomplish too much too fast. We will be slowing down a bit to work on some of organization structure, defining goals and a plan of action for our community Coop. Comment what YOU are looking for in YOUR Southwest Little Rock community. 💚

A Gal & Her Truck and I will be helping with some compost deliveries for Urban Patchwork! If you want some compost from American Composting Inc. contact us for further details!

What a wonderful working Sunday we had! We moved a bunch of mulch to build up our pathways and to help build soil and increase the water retention. We amended the soil with compost and planted a good amount of our pepper plants and yellow squash plants Urban Patchwork gifted us. 🌱🫑

Lastly, I want to shout out to our awesome community members for the donated gifts and to Sanders ACE Hardware for the T posts. 💜

Come grow, learn and build community with the Lazy Lizard Cooperative.
Join us whenever you are available to pop in SUNDAYS, WEDNESDAYS or FRIDAYS from 9:00 am -6:00 pm. We will be Gardening with Community at the Lazy Lizard Co-op. Pop in, see what we’re up to.

No experience? No problem! We're here to learn and grow alongside one another. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty or wet, but most importantly, bring your enthusiasm!

We'll have a snack table available for when you get hungry. Bring something to share if you’re able. 🥣

If you desire to cool off in our pool after, please bring your swimsuit, towel and a lifejacket if you need. Bring a friend, bring the kids, most importantly bring your enthusiasm and creativity!

My friends, HAPPY EARTH DAY! This working Wednesday wasn’t too productive, but this week has been! The irises have bloomed for the first time since they were planted. Our littlest volunteer planted onions and potatoes that Sanders ACE Hardware donated. We got the tomato trellis up and planted our Beefsteak tomatoes with pole beans and leeks. Okra, cilantro and flowers have been seeded. Our next workday on Friday we will focus on getting more soil amended with compost and more plants in. If you have a moment to help or say hello we’d be glad to have ya. If you don’t have time to stop by but want to contribute to helping the earth and feeding your communities most vulnerable, we could really use some compost or bags of potting soil. We can’t solve systemic problems as individuals. Without healthy soil, you don’t get healthy plants. Healthy foundations are what makes a thriving ecosystem. Without a healthy ecosystem very few survive. Take care of your earth and the earth will take care of you. Get involved. Be the change.

Come grow, learn and build community with the Lazy Lizard Cooperative.
Join us whenever you are available to pop in SUNDAYS, WEDNESDAYS or FRIDAYS from 9:00 am -6:00 pm for a little connection while working. We will be Gardening with Community at the Lazy Lizard Co-op. Pop in, see what we’re up to.

The focus for tomorrow will be getting plants in the ground, cutting some bamboo for building trellises for things like tomatillos, Tomatoes, beans, luffa, etc. Folks # more on the artsy side can help make bee cups out of air dried clay for the pollinators to get a drink while doing their hard work.

No experience? No problem! There's a job for everyone, and we're here to learn and grow alongside one another. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty or wet, but most importantly, bring your enthusiasm!

We'll have a hang out session and a potluck style snack table available for when you get hungry. Bring something to share if you’re able. 🥣
