Welcome to this week’s “In the Market” update! 🌿✨

🍎 Exciting produce news — we’re getting our first load of Arkansas-grown apples this week! The variety is Ruby Jonathan. We’re meeting the farmer Friday around 10am, so they should be in the market around 10:45am Friday.

🍉 We also picked up another load of Arkansas Black Diamond watermelons from the same farm as previous weeks. These are on the smaller side and will be $10 each. We also grabbed more local cantaloupe — the ones everyone has been raving over!

🥬 Spring mix and arugula will arrive Friday around 10:45am, but we will not have lettuce heads this week. The farm said demand has been so high they overpicked and need to let the lettuce catch back up. We did get TN red slicer tomatoes this week, but no heirlooms.

🥩 Major meat restock this week! We already stocked up on Louisiana boudin and local chicken. Thursday afternoon we expect to restock local beef and some local pork. No chemical-laced imported Argentine beef here!

🥚 We also increased our local egg supply, but demand has been wild. We still may not have eggs by Sunday, so plan ahead if eggs are on your list.

🌧️ We received almost 1.5 inches of rain this past week at the market, and we needed it. Lately we’ve even had to water plants that usually don’t need irrigation. Parts of the garden have been cleared out from heat damage, but it is what it is.

🎨 ACCEPTING LOCAL ARTISTS ON CONSIGNMENT

Mother Vine Market is already looking ahead to Fall and the Holiday season, and we’re opening a few spots for local and regional artists and makers!

🎁 What are we looking for?

Creative, well-made pieces that would make a great gift are our top priority. Smaller items that fit easily into a gift bag hit the sweet spot.

Think:
• Pottery
• Small handcrafted pieces
• Unique crafts
• Fun, creative gift items
• And honestly…who knows? Surprise us!

We’re open to taking a look at your work even if it doesn’t fit neatly into one of those categories.

🚫 What are we NOT looking for right now?

• Greeting cards
• Large pieces that are difficult to display or take up a lot of space
• Candles
• Soaps
• T-shirts, clothing
• Jewelry
• Tumblers
• AI-generated artwork
• 3D-printed plastic items
• Woodworking, with the possible exception of smaller pieces

📩 HOW TO APPLY

First — please DO NOT come to the market during business hours to pitch your products.

When we’re open, we’re in customer mode. Our attention needs to be on the people shopping, checking out, and asking questions. We want to give you and your work the time and attention you deserve, and we simply can’t do that while customers are waiting.

If you come to the market during business hours without first emailing us or completing our vendor application, we will happily hand you our vendor information pamphlet explaining how to properly apply — and send you on your way so we can get back to taking care of our customers.

The best ways to apply are:

Please include at least a couple of good photos of the pieces you are interested in placing at the market, along with a little information about you and your work.

✅ A few things to know before applying:

• This is CONSIGNMENT. We are not purchasing pieces outright.
• Your products should be clean, professionally presented, and clearly labeled when appropriate.
• You should have a social media page, website, or other online presence we can follow, tag, and use to help promote your work.
• You should know your pricing and make sure it makes sense for both you and the customer.
• Vendors should be willing to help promote their products and let their own customers and followers know they can shop their work at Mother Vine Market.
• Space is limited, so we will have to be selective.

🛍️ Why Mother Vine?

After more than two years of running Mother Vine Market, serving lots of regular customers, and checking out more than 1,000 customers each month, we have a pretty good feel for what tends to work in our space.

For this particular search, think SMALLER GIFTABLE ITEMS — not necessarily inexpensive items.

We regularly have customers walk in looking for a quick birthday present, a corporate gift, a hostess gift, a holiday gift, or simply something fun to treat themselves.

That’s exactly the kind of opportunity we want to create for a few more talented local and regional artists this Fall and Holiday season.

Welcome to this week’s “In the Market” update! 🌿✨

⏰ We’re back to regular hours this week! We’re open THUR–SUN starting at 10am. We close at 5pm Thursday/Friday, 4pm Saturday, and 2pm Sunday. We still see folks trying to come on days we’re closed, so just a reminder. By 2pm Sunday we’re usually pretty wiped out of eggs, baked goods, and produce, so that earlier closing helps us wrap up the week.

🎨 Have you seen the painted pet portrait of Wylie by Julia of JML Artistry? Julia has been a loyal customer for a while, and we found her beautiful pet portraits while browsing her Instagram. What we loved is that she never came in trying to sell us anything—just a genuine artist shopping local. So of course we had to collaborate and get Wylie painted! Next time you’re in, take a look. She paints 11x14 wood panels and glass ornaments if you’d like one of your own pet.

Welcome to this week’s “In the Market” update! 🌿✨

📅 Heads up! We’ll be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this week, but Saturday hours are different. We’ll open 1 hour early at 9am and close at 12pm SHARP for a family event. Thursday, Friday, and Sunday will be regular hours starting at 10am, so please plan ahead if you need milk, produce, baked goods, or freezer items this week.

🥬 We have lots of great-looking produce again! As always, nothing from Mexico, and the majority is local or grown right here in Arkansas, including lettuce heads, spring mix, microgreens, and jalapeños.

🍉 We also have more AR Black Diamond watermelons this week. These are smaller and will be priced at $10 each. Peaches arrive Friday when we open. Georgia peaches are done, so these are from Idaho and very limited — less than 50 pounds. We’ll also have more local cantaloupe and some very tasty sweet corn from Wisconsin.

📍 Let’s talk about finding Mother Vine Market!

We still have folks call or text each week saying they can’t find us, so here’s a quick guide.

We are located at:

17900 Lawson Rd
Little Rock, AR

You can put that address into any maps app and find us. Even better, if you use Google Maps, enter:

17900B Lawson Rd

That pin is set directly at our market entrance.

When you’re getting close, you’ll see several signs out front for things like Baked Goods, Local Meats, Raw Milk, and more. At the driveway entrance, look for the bright sign that says:

Mother Vine Market - OPEN

That’s your driveway! Follow it back onto the property and you’ll find plenty of room to park. We get deliveries from semi trucks, so trust us—there is space to maneuver. 😄

We also wanted to share an update for our regulars. Several customers had mentioned that visibility was tight when leaving the market because the neighbor’s privet had grown close to the road and created a blind spot.

We received permission to clean it back, and wow—what a difference! Check out the before and after photos and you’ll see how much more open the view is now.

Thank you to the customers who brought this to our attention. We always want the market to feel welcoming, easy to access, and as safe as possible when you’re coming and going.

If you still have trouble finding us, you’re welcome to call or text and we’ll do our best to guide you in. But the maps apps really do work well, and as a bonus, they also show our current hours so you can make sure you’re visiting on a day we’re open.

Welcome to this week’s “In the Market” update! 🌿✨

🥩 We’ve been busy getting the market stocked up this week! We received a new supply of grass-fed, grass-finished lamb from Maygo Broke Farms, raised about 3 miles from Mother Vine. Have you tried it yet? It has a rich, earthy flavor and is great in a Be Ready Farms soup mix or even as a burger patty.

We’ll also be restocking Double B Ranch ribeyes and filets sometime Thursday, plus we have plenty of local chicken, pork, and Louisiana boudin in the freezer.

🥬 Lots of great produce again this week! We don’t carry produce from Mexico, so no worries here. We also checked with The Buckman Brewhouse on the jalapeño cheddar sourdough—the jalapeños they use are either local or from the USA. With the recent surge in questions about local lettuce, we’ll have local spring mix, microgreens, and lettuce heads too.

🔥 Let’s talk SuperTasterz!

If you’ve shopped Mother Vine Market for a while, you’ve probably seen their products on our shelves: WOOO-cest-er-shire, Arkansas Diamond Fire Champagne Pepper Sauce, Arkansas Diamond Fire Bloody Mary Mix, Opera Sauce Mediterranean Hot Sauce, Opera Sauce Prosecco Pepper Sauce (one of Leigh Ann’s favorites!), Opera Sauce Sicilian Marinara, and Key Lime MARG Mix, which is definitely a family favorite around here, LOL!

Now they’re back with something new — Buffalo River Sauce Co. Real Butter Buffalo Sauce!

Supertasterz is the parent company behind all of these creations, and their mission is simple: make the best tasting stuff around without all the garbage and fillers.

Original buffalo sauce dates back to the 1960s and was built around cayenne pepper, vinegar, spices, and real butter. Fast forward to today and a lot of popular buffalo sauces are packed with things like soybean oil, hydrogenated oils, artificial flavors, corn syrup, preservatives, and other ingredients most of us can barely pronounce.

So SuperTasterz decided to take buffalo sauce back to the glory days.

Their new Real Butter Buffalo Sauce is made without the extra junk, and yes, it tastes great.

We air-fried a batch of Harper Farms chicken wings and tossed them in the sauce. First impression? Tangy, spicy, buttery, and seriously good. You get that bright vinegar kick up front, a medium building heat from cayenne peppers, and then the real butter comes in and rounds everything out. It’s salty, a little garlicky, and full of flavor without being harsh or over-the-top hot.

In a world where so many companies are chasing the cheapest ingredients and the fastest dollar, it’s refreshing to work with a local company trying to do things better.

🍪 Lots of new baked goods are coming into the market this week! Cosmic Cakes has released her Summer menu with new flavors and a couple of fun new items — Cakesicles and Dunkaroos! Donna's Artisanal Kitchen is also bringing back those Italian Cream Cake slices after they were such a hit.
