Many people have not had their sprinkler systems blown out yet and there is a prediction for a freeze early next week. The most important part of your system to protect is the backflow because it is above ground as well as the most expensive part to replace. In order to protect your backflow during the upcoming freeze, loosely wrap the backflow with a blanket or towels. You want to have air pockets in the wrapping because they will be warm air pockets. Next place a garbage bag over the blanket or towels and secure it with tape to keep everything dry. It may also be a good idea to turn off your sprinkler system at the clock.

Lot's of heavy, wet snow to remove this weekend. We'll be starting the week removing down tree limbs including the ones in our yard and then on to aerations, power rakes and fertilizations. Let me know if you need to be added to the schedule.

Just got back from buying new shovels and lots of ice melt. We are ready for the first big storm of the season.

Several people have asked for our web site address and we currently don't have one. We will be working on that over the summer as well as posting pictures here of our finished projects.
