e for the home and the environment. We only use cellulose insulation, which is hygroscopic (controls moisture) and a healthier, non-toxic alternative. Also, we use 3 times as much insulation as our competitors and dense-pack it to ensure your home has a robust barrier to the outside elements, especially with the wide range of extreme temperatures we have here in New England. Our dedication to providing green products and ensuring healthy, comfortable homes extends to improving air quality through services such as removing old insulation containing fiberglass, mold or spray foam. When we assess each customer’s home, we look at how it could be better sealed to retain heat or air conditioning and how we can eliminate harmful effects such as allergens and mold to maintain healthy indoor air quality. Dolphin Insulation is a family-owned business run by father and daughter, Chris and Amanda Alphen. Chris has been in the home construction and renovation business since the 1980s, and for several years was joined by daughter Tiffany. Amanda joined in 2008 when the company shifted to dedicating itself exclusively to insulation services. Chris and Amanda have educated themselves on how to run a construction business and the fundamentals of building science, and they send their team to school as well, ensuring everyone is continuously up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends. As part of our aim to be a problem-solving company, we will test products in our own homes and use our knowledge to also educate our customers.

Our team recently completed a roof renovation project in Acton for Biju, a valued client. The pre-existing blown-in fiberglass insulation, wrapped in plastic, had caused mold and wood rot on his roof rafters. We removed the outdated insulation and plastic, allowing Biju to repair the wood and conduct mold remediation. Following this, we installed the v***r smart membrane and dense-packed cellulose along the roofline. This enhancement guarantees that Biju will not face similar issues in the future. We are so grateful for customers like Biju and glad we could help! 🐬
