One of five pines done for a customer. Two of them were able to be done with face cut and wedge work. The other three had heavy opposing lean and required a little bit of pull to ensure proper placement of the fall.
All the trees remained on the property as they laid.
Total on the job: $500
My goal is always to work with customers and find ways to generate a price they are comfortable with and not sell myself short in the process.
There is never a one size fits all with trees; Some require more manpower, others require machines, climbing and rigging. Or in this case where I can show up on my own.
A few things I always urge homeowners to do: 1.) Make sure contractor has insurance 2.) Don’t be afraid to get multiple bids. 3.) Ask questions on the entire process; are they taking all material? Leaving all material? Going to pile it up on site?
A good contractor will work with you, as it is their job helping you create a solution to your problem.
A bad contractor typically will not be able to educate you in the process and will mislead for personal interest in financial gain.
