Here’s your reminder that you can teach yourself a new skill on a random day 🤩 floating floor install- don’t mind the old trim I reinstalled or the clutter 😅 not bad for my first time, gotta work on my door jamb skills- thankful I attempted this on my own floor for a first time before doing it for a customer.

Ceiling paint correction! A little sanding, spackle, more sanding to create a level surface from the prior painting & 2 coats to provide a seamless finish. This is actually a subtle color drench in the color Vanilla Milkshake in Matte from BM. (Don’t mind my lens flare, it’s something in my camera I think making it look like there’s a dark spot in a few pictures)

2 very late nights later… until 4am to be honest- this ceiling clean/paint job is finished! Cleaned with TSP, primed with Zinsser cover stain oil based primer & 2 coats of BEHR Pro HP pre-catalyzed waterborne epoxy paint.

Fully collapsible charcuterie table- this project tested me in ways I didn’t think possible but it also was a testimony of just how much I can do with a set of mediocre tools & determination. With that being said, I will definitely be purchasing a CNC Machine before I EVER attempt something like this again. I looked at the materials for a week before I worked up the courage to start this project. I’m so excited to see it stained/painted & full of deliciousness!

I’ve never been one to beg for work. I keep my prices as low as possible. I show up, I get things done. I learn & learn & learn how to do more & more & more. I’m at a stand still with jobs in the near future & that is the terrifying part of self employment. I love any engagement on my post but if you engage in any of them, please let it be this one. I’m about 2 weeks away from working for a company again after I’ve spent a year working solely for myself. I see these huge multi employee companies hiring for help because their workload is so huge yet I have had cancellations upon cancellations lately. I’ll take any constructive criticism on what I need to do to stay self employed, thank you.
