One-of-a-Kind Custom Reclaimed Wood Garage Doors
We often receive requests for garage doors that simply don’t exist as standard, off-the-shelf products. That’s where custom garage door design and engineering make all the difference.
This project is a perfect example. These one-of-a-kind custom garage doors were built by Ranch House Doors in Corona, California, using reclaimed wood sourced through E&K Vintage Wood. The rough lumber was delivered directly to Ranch House Doors, where it was carefully milled and fabricated into these completely custom doors.
Each door weighs just over 1,000 pounds, requiring precise engineering and high-quality hardware to ensure safe, reliable operation. The engineering on this project is exceptional—the doors are properly balanced and operate remarkably smoothly despite their substantial weight.
To handle the weight and provide long-term performance, we paired the doors with 3-inch commercial garage door track, sealed ball-bearing rollers, and a heavy-duty LiftMaster commercial operator. The result is a custom garage door system that combines the character of reclaimed wood with the strength and reliability of commercial-grade hardware.
