๐จ Texas Homeowners: Know Who Youโre Hiring! ๐จ
When it comes to plumbing, hiring a licensed Texas plumber is not just a smart choice โ it helps protect your home, your family, and your health.
The Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners regulates plumbing in Texas to help prevent hazards from improperly installed plumbing, gas, and medical gas systems. Licensed plumbers are trained, tested, and held to state standards designed to protect clean water, safe drainage, and proper code compliance.
New enforcement update: Beginning January 1, 2026, the TSBPE says violations involving the employment or subcontracting of an unregistered or unlicensed individual to perform plumbing will be assessed the full $4,000 penalty per violation, with no reduced settlement option.
Before you hire someone, ask:
โ
Are you licensed in Texas?
โ
Can I verify your license?
โ
Will the work be done to code?
Cheap plumbing can become expensive fast when it is done illegally or incorrectly. Protect your property and peace of mind โ hire a licensed plumbing professional.
