Here is one I did for a first time home buyer that was relocating to Metro Detroit from out of state. I call it a half kitchen update because they were on a budget but wanted new countertops. Once I removed the existing counters, I found that the base cabinets were in pretty bad shape. We decided to replace the lower cabinets with the thought of doing the uppers at a later date when budget was not an issue.... Since they were out of state, we did pretty much everything over email or through text. I didn't actually meet them face to face until the project was more than halfway done. Since remodels can be stressful my goal is always to make the process as easy and seamless as possible, even if the home owner is located out of state. That means, constant communication, lots of pictures, coming up with ideas for things they didn't think about, and helping with design choices. I never want to be that person that says "well that's how they told me to do it", when there may be a better way.... Another cool thing about the project, their parents, who live locally, and I conspired together and updated the powder room as a surprise housewarming gift.
List of updates:
New kitchen, entry, and powder room floor
New kitchen base cabinets
New kitchen countertops
New backsplash
New stove, sink, and faucet
New toilet in powder room
New vanity
New lighting
Wall mount TV installation
