Huge project officially wrapped up. This one involved massive site grading and export work from start to finish. CJB’s exported roughly 5,500 tons (395 Tandem Loads) of native material, including hauling off the pool contractor’s spoil piles, then backfilled the pool and all pool plumbing. We also imported and placed over 1,800 tons (135 Tandem Loads) of road base throughout the project. After battling non stop grade issues from the start, CJB’s identified that the civil engineer designed this entire project off an extremely out dated topography leaving lots of loose ends and additional costs for the owners. CJB’s brought their survey team in to re-topo and furnish new up to date elevations and site conditions to go off of. Engineers are of course, never wrong😉 and everything is oh so perfect behind that key board but that’s ok because CJB’s will find any design issues and get it sorted out!

Scope of work included:
• Full site grading/excavation and fine grading to meet the Civil Engineers extremely detailed drainage and grading plan, lots of tree and shrub removal, installed and maintained the erosion control
• 12” over-excavate and recompaction for the sports court sub-grade
• 12” over-excavate and recompaction for all concrete sub-grade
• Cabana excavation and backfill
• Water and sewer installation for both the house and cabana
• Extensive underground drainage systems around the pool deck, cabana, and sports court with slot drains in the pool deck
• V-pan drainage installation around the sports court
• Construction of two large detention ponds with inlets, block off plates and orfice holes to control outfall flows into the high line canal with emergency overflow systems
• Removal and replacement of the asphalt driveway
• Compaction testing performed on all native subgrades and all road base lifts, along with City of Englewood inspections and Cherry Hills Village inspections to ensure everything was built to spec

A lot of moving parts on this project and proud of how the entire site came together. Big thanks to everyone involved that helped make it happen.

Have 450-500 tons of great fill dirt. It’s located in Cherry Hills Village. Will haul to you at no charge ONLY IF YOUR WITHIN 20-30min from Hampden and I-25. We can only get tandems into this job site.

Have about 250-300 tons of fill dirt I need to export out of Cherry Hills Village. Clean fill dirt, some tree roots but not horrible. Will haul to you at NO CHARGE if you’re within 30min of Cherry Hill’s.

Finished up tieing in the Cabana sewer service onto the house’s service line. Connected to the Sewer Main, Inspected and backfilled! Slamming away!

Got the Cabana, and sports court backfilled and the pool deck over excavation compleat! Next step is sub-grade prep with road base for concrete! Almost have this job wrapped up!

Quick little Cabana foundation excavation for the big custom home. Wrapping up the sewer tie in as well! Sports Court is about done and the remaining site grading is about to kick off!

Slamming in some 10” Sewer Main! 17 feet deep, doesnt look it but its every bit of 17’! After a change in the plans we are back at it! Not the prettiest of trench’s, as we are going back into a previously excavated trench and in horrible material! Having some fun going under some very high profile utilities! After today we will only have 3 more existing utilities to cross under, with a total of 12 high profile utility crossings! We will be crossing into CDOT’s right of way and dead smack across Hwy. 72 next week! Slow down in construction zones! Us blue collar workers have families too!
