Teamwork makes the dream work! Two of our boiler technicians are teaming up to replace a heat exchanger.

It’s not often these two get the chance to work together, but when they do, you know there’s plenty of knowledge (and maybe some jokes) being shared along the way.

There’s something pretty cool about watching two experienced technicians learn from each other, trade tips, and share the kind of hands-on knowledge you just can’t get from a textbook.

Before fall arrives in full force, take a little time to get your home ready for the change in seasons:

If you've ever needed a part, a solution to a tricky problem, or someone who just seems to know how to make things work, there's a good chance you've crossed paths with Erik!

Erik has been part of the Hillestad team for 10 years and 7 months and serves as our Parts Manager and a little bit of everything else. In other words, he's a true jack-of-all-trades!

🔧 Role: Parts Manager / Jack of All Trades

🌲 Favorite Projects: Anything that gets him outdoors!

🛠️ What He Enjoys Most: The variety. No two days are exactly alike, and he enjoys the mix of different tasks and projects that come his way.

🔥 If He Wasn't in HVAC: He'd be blacksmithing.

💡 Erik's HVAC Tip: Don't forget the simple stuff! Change your air filters AND your thermostat batteries regularly.

☕🥤 Fuel of Choice: Coffee and Mountain Dew.

🦆 Fun Fact: Erik once stopped traffic at a busy intersection so a mama duck and her ducklings could safely cross the road. Sounds like a perfect fit for Lodi's beloved Susie!

Honestly, we're not surprised. At Hillestad, we're pretty sure that's part of the job description. 😉

Happy National Dog Day! And what better way to celebrate than by welcoming the newest member of Team Hillestad… Winston! 🐶

Winston may not know the difference between a furnace and an A/C unit just yet, but he's already an expert at the important stuff: greeting people, supervising the team, and bringing a little extra joy to the workday.

We're pretty sure his official job title is still being discussed, but we're thinking Chief Happiness Officer has a nice ring to it.

A good morning meeting starts with good coffee and chocolate milk… and even better donuts!

The Hillestad team gathered this morning to talk shop, share updates, and make sure everyone is on the same page, and we're pretty sure the donuts helped with productivity. 😉

Ryan doesn't seem too bothered by the heat, tight spaces, or the fact that most people would really rather not be crawling around in an attic. 😂

He's up there getting the job done and apparently having a pretty good time doing it!

Stocking tools, organizing parts, loading equipment, and making sure everything has its place isn't a one day job. In fact, it takes about a full week to get an install truck fully organized and job-site ready.
