It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of long time employee Steve Torrey. Steve worked for David Chaves Excavating for over 30 years. Steve was one of the most loyal, dedicated and hardest working guy I've met. In all the years I worked with Steve he never took a vacation. He loved to crush, and he knew the machines better than anyone. If the machines broke down and Steve was traveling and crushing for other companies most days we wouldn't even know there was any problem. Steve would just handle the situation and get things back up and running. Steve was more than an employee though, he was a long time family friend and he made sure to keep in touch with everyone even after his days at David Chaves Excavating were done. I like to think Patrice met him on the other side with a kahlua and milk in one hand and a white russian in the other. Rest Easy Steve đź’™
