Welcome to where we will be introducing our JLB Employees.
Meet Nathan who is our Trucking Project Manager. One of his favorite projects is material hauling. Outside of work Nathan loves to go camping or play video games. If he could only have one meal for the rest of like of his life it would be shrimp tacos. If he could have anyone play him in a movie about his life it would be a young Bruce Willis! And fun fact it is his birthday week!

We are grateful to have Nathan as part of JLB!

Last Wednesday, we held our employee Thanksgiving lunch at Murky Waters BBQ - Gulfport. We had such a great time and the food was excellent. Thank you to all of our employees who work hard through out the year for us!

Welcome to where we will be introducing our JLB Employees.
Meet Sam who is one of our service/tire technicians. One of his favorite pieces of equipment to work on is the big CAT machines. Outside of work Sam loves to tinker around with different things and projects and spending time with his wife and 4 kids. If Sam could have any superpower it would be speed and if he could only have one meal for the rest of his life it would be stir fry.

We are grateful to have Sam as part of JLB!

JLB was part of the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Canal 1 Project in Long Beach on Thursday. We are so excited to be able to be involved in a project that will help many residents in the area. Check out the WLOX article and some pictures from the ceremony!

Meet Rodney who is one of our equipment operators. One of his favorite projects has been the HCUA 24 inch tie ins. Outside of work Rodney loves to go fishing and camping with his family. Something people may not know about Rodney is that he has always wanted to open a restaurant! His favorite concert he has attended was Chris Stapleton in 2021 and if he could only have one meal for the rest of his life it would be hamburger steak and mashed potatoes (with gravy of course!)

Meet Fred who is one of our truck drivers. One of his favorite projects is hauling for the Gautier project. Outside of work Fred loves to ride his motorcycle fish, or work in his garden. If he could only have one meal for the rest of like of his life it would be any and all breakfast food. If he won the lottery the first thing he would do is gather up his kids and split it with them.

Who We Are

Originally known as J. Levens Builders, Inc., JLB is a locally owned and family operated construction and hauling company located in Long Beach, MS. Started by James “Jimmy” E. Levens III in 1994, J. Levens Builders worked on contracts with federal and local governmental entities, as well as private companies while maintaining a strong commitment to success, honesty, integrity, and excellence in craftsmanship. Johnathon Damiens, son-in-law to Jimmy Levens, worked for J. Levens Builders for over 14 years and was Vice President of the company. Besides playing the lead role in operational management daily, Johnathon oversaw procurement and estimation for the projects and opportunities that came through the doors at J. Levens Builders. Kyle Cassagne, son-in-law to Jimmy Levens, worked for J. Levens Builders for over 8 years and was an operation manger for the company. Kyle was responsible for contract administration and supervision of all construction projects.

In September 2016, a succession plan was implemented to keep the business a locally owned family entity. Johnathon and Kyle partnered together to purchase the assets of J. Levens Builders, Inc., and in the process renamed the company JLB Contractors, LLC. JLB Contractors, LLC carries on with the same traditions, standards, and quality of work that J. Levens Builders prided themselves for since its inception. Attention to detail and a careful eye towards pleasing the customer helped establish J. Levens Builders, Inc., now known as JLB Contractors, LLC, in a unique position to deliver quality project outcomes for any job.
