From APA Los Angeles to APA California! 🏆
Congratulations to our planning team for their work on Zone In: City Core! After receiving recognition from APA Los Angeles, the project has now advanced to the state level, where it has been selected for an APA California Award of Merit in Advancing Diversity and Social Change.
Covering the area bounded by Pacific Coast Highway, 10th Street, Magnolia Avenue and Ximeno Avenue, Zone In: City Core put the community at the center of the planning process. The project prioritized the voices of those most impacted by planning decisions, including young people, renters and people of color, and used community input to help shape the plan.
Through years of community engagement, residents and partners helped shape a plan focused on safety, open space, mobility, housing and creating a more connected and pedestrian-friendly community.
👏 We’re incredibly proud of our planning team and grateful to the residents, community leaders, City Fabrick and all of our partners who helped make this work possible. Congratulations, team!
