In 1999 I was looking for another line of work, I was working for an Industrial Supply house for 15 years with no way to climb the corporate ladder, i wanted more for me and my family. What a different time it was, no really Big Box stores, news paper and phone book and hanging fliers was the best way to get my business known. I used my Jeep to pull an small open trailer with tools. I was charging $15.00 an hour. I was booked up two weeks in no time, thought that was crazy, I pulled my Add from the local paper. Now many years later, Andrew our son started working for my wife and I in 2015, since 1999 I have never been out of work.
We now own Kitchen Bath and Home Remodeling since 2016, we still keep the name Ray The handyman due to being so well known in the area .
We stay 100% on time, we never mark up materials and 99% of the time we do not charge a trash haul away fee, we own our own dump trailer. Our rates are the some for everyone, we don,t mark them up if you are on the wealthier side.
I stayed by myself for 16 years do to not being able to trust anyone I hired, working in customers homes around all there private belonging an being trusted is so important to me, then Andrew came on board, who better to trust then your own blood. Andrew has been a great addition and has allowed me to quote larger jobs.
