Huge shoutout to Big K’s Bait and Tackle!!!!!!! 🎣

If you’re looking for live bait around Central Arkansas, these folks have been awesome to deal with. We stopped by looking for bluegill and shad for catfishing, and not only were they super friendly and helpful, but they were also the only bait shop that had exactly what we were looking for.

Thanks to the bait from Big K’s, we’ve been putting some nice catfish in the boat lately! 🐈 🐟💪

Sometimes in business, customers become friends…

And sometimes friends become customers…

The other day, I had to swing by a customer’s house to pick up a check. He had left it outside in his grill for me, because apparently in Arkansas, grills are now considered secure payment drop boxes. 🔥💵

Now, I was supposed to be there the day before… but plumbing happened, life happened, and I didn’t make it until the next day.

When I pulled up, this man was outside cleaning catfish.

Well, I’m a Southern guy with Southern roots, so naturally I couldn’t just walk past a pile of catfish without saying something. Next thing I know, I offered to help.

What I did NOT know was that I had accidentally applied for a full-time fish-cleaning position. 😂🐟

Fast forward, and now me and this customer have been running trotlines for about a week, catching catfish, cleaning fish, telling stories, and he’s been sending me home with enough fish to make my freezer look like I own a seafood market.

And it got me thinking…

Some customers don’t complain about the price.

They don’t nickel and dime you.

They don’t treat you like “just the plumber.”

They understand that when you call somebody who shows up, does quality work, stands behind what they do, and treats you right — that has value.

And sometimes those customers become friends faster than some of your actual friends will pay an invoice. 😂

That’s what we love about doing business here in Central Arkansas.

It ain’t just pipes, drains, water heaters, and sewer lines.

It’s people.

It’s relationships.

It’s showing up, doing the job right, being honest, and occasionally getting paid in catfish benefits. 🐟💪

One time I was at Wendy’s grabbing a Baconator…
One time Schmidt was there.

They weren’t ordering food…

Lessons learned on Facebook today…….

#1 Gotta get the app for Subway because apparently you need coupons, rewards points, discounts, a sacrifice and a small miracle just to afford lunch now

#2 I got a whole crowd ready to overthrow the government over the price of a footlong sandwich… and honestly, We’re with em 😂😂😂

#3 Subway needs to go ahead and Cash App me for all the advertisement I brought them today… because the way we’re talking about these sandwiches, I basically ran a full marketing campaign today.

Y’all ever walk into Subway thinking you’re about to grab a quick lunch… and walk out wondering if you should have financed a sandwich?? 😭

Me and Charles just looked at each other like:
“Did we just buy lunch… or sign closing papers??” 😂

I remember when:

• $5 footlong meant you could eat AND be happy
• You didn’t need to check your bank app before ordering chips
• “Make it a combo” didn’t feel like a risky life decision

Now it’s like:

“Yeah I’ll take a footlong…”
immediately puts phone on silent so the bank doesn’t notify me 💀

At this point, we’re about to start packing sandwiches on the truck like we’re going on a 12-hour excavation job just to avoid lunch prices 🤦‍♂️

Bring back the $5 footlongs… or at least bring back my financial stability after lunch 😂
