When you purchase a good seed, red tag, you are getting 97.88 % seed, may be more money, but your getting double the seed. I get a ton of phone calls of " I bought 3 bags of seed and this is my result " Another important part is the application. If you are just going outside and throwing seed onto your bare spots, more than likely you just fed the birds and other rodents. Seed to ground contact is very important. Slit seeding or working up your dead spots then seeding will get way better results.
