We recently completed this beautiful Pennsylvania Full Color Flagstone patio in Falls Church, Virginia!

The project started by properly grading the area before installing a 4-inch, 4,000 PSI concrete base, reinforced with #4 rebar and #10 gauge wire mesh for strength and durability.

We then installed Pennsylvania Full Color Flagstone over the concrete base, creating a durable and timeless outdoor living space.

The entire project was completed in just six days, and most importantly, the customer was extremely happy with the finished product!

Another beautiful transformation completed by Potomac Masonry!

This project in McLean, Virginia, included the complete removal of the homeowner’s existing brick walkway and the installation of a custom flagstone walkway. We also extended the flagstone onto the existing front porch and steps, creating a seamless, elegant entrance that greatly enhanced the home’s curb appeal.

Rather than installing a traditional straight walkway, we designed a graceful serpentine layout that adds character, complements the landscape, and creates a much more inviting approach to the front door.

This project took approximately seven days to complete, and the homeowners couldn’t have been happier with the finished product. In fact, they were so pleased with the results that they’ve already hired us to install a custom flagstone patio in the rear of their property.

Just wanted to share this before-and-after transformation of a flagstone patio we recently completed in the Fairlington community of Arlington, Virginia.

For this project, we utilized the existing concrete base and expanded it by pouring new concrete along the sides. To create a strong, long-lasting foundation, we drilled into the existing concrete and installed rebar to securely tie the old and new concrete together before installing the new flagstone.

This project was completed in just four days, and the homeowner was thrilled with the finished result. It’s always rewarding to bring new life to an outdoor space while building it to last.

Another beautiful project completed in the Fairlington community of Arlington, Virginia — one of our favorite neighborhoods to work in!

For this patio installation, we started with a solid 4-inch reinforced concrete base featuring #10 gauge wire mesh and #4 rebar to ensure long-term durability and stability. We then carefully installed Pennsylvania Full Color Flagstone over the concrete base, creating a slight pitch to properly direct rainwater away from the home and provide effective drainage.

To complete the project, we installed decorative river rock along the fence line, creating a clean transition and adding an attractive finishing touch to the outdoor space.

The homeowner is thrilled with the finished product and has already been enjoying and admiring their new patio. Seeing our customers happy with their investment is always the most rewarding part of what we do.

Paver Restoration Project – Mount Vernon

We recently completed a paver restoration project in the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria, VA

Our team began by thoroughly pressure washing the existing pavers to remove years of dirt, debris, and surface staining. We then removed all compromised material from the joints, installed new PolyTrack edging to improve long-term stability, and applied fresh polymeric stone dust throughout the joint system. To complete the restoration, we sealed the entire paver surface, enhancing both the appearance and durability of the installation.

The result was a clean, refreshed outdoor space with renewed curb appeal and improved structural integrity. The homeowner was extremely satisfied with the efficient, clean, and timely completion of the project and was thrilled with the final outcome.
