To all friends, family, and loved ones affected by the Palisades and Eaton fires: As you begin the process of rebuilding, please make sure to hire a licensed contractor. Always verify their license number to ensure it’s active and up-to-date. You can easily check this through the California State License Board’s website at [http://www.cslb.ca.gov](http://www.cslb.ca.gov). Remember, it is illegal for a contractor to request a deposit greater than $1,000 when signing a contract, and never pay for work that hasn't been completed. To everyone, friends, friends and family of friends who have lost their homes from California’s wild fires. When it comes to rebuilding be sure to hire a licensed contractor and check on the license number to make sure it is active and current. It’s very easy on the California State License Boards website
http://www.cslb.ca.gov. Remember it is against the law for a contractor to ask for more than $1000 deposit upon signing a contract and never pay for work that isn’t done. If anyone has any questions they can call me.
