🏗️✨ From Rebar to Concrete — Progress in Motion ✨🏗️

Exciting activity on site at the Testimonial Community Love Center in South LA. First came the careful placement and tying of rebar, forming the steel framework that strengthens the foundation — and now we’re getting ready for the concrete pour that will bring that structure to life.

It’s incredible to watch this stage unfold. The precision, coordination, and craftsmanship that go into reinforcing and preparing the foundation ensure the building will stand strong for years to come.

We’re proud to share these moments and bring you along as the project continues to take shape. More progress ahead — stay with us. 💙

✨💡 Design Field Trip = Next-Level Vibes 💡✨

Our owner Alycia Belle and Maddie, owner of Mattie’s WeHo, took a field trip to visit our friends at Litron Lighting headquarters — hand-selecting state-of-the-art, cutting-edge, beautifully luminescent lighting to elevate the entire Mattie’s experience.

This isn’t just lighting — it’s mood, energy, and atmosphere.

One thing we admire about Maddie? He is incredibly hands-on with every design element in the club. From finishes to fixtures, his creative eye and commitment to excellence ensure that every detail enhances the experience for every guest who walks through the door.

We can’t wait for you to see how this next-level lighting transforms the space. 🔥

🚧🏗️ Progress Below Ground — Teamwork at Its Best 🏗️🚧

The sewer line is going in at the Testimonial Community Love Center in South LA — a major milestone as we continue building from the ground up.

Huge thanks to our longtime collaborators and friends at Anderson Commercial Plumbing for their expertise and precision on this critical phase. Strong infrastructure starts below the surface, and this is work you don’t see — but absolutely depend on.

Proud to build alongside partners who show up, dig deep (literally), and get it done right. 💪

More progress ahead. Stay with us.

🏗️✨ Design That Starts with Vision ✨🏗️

This architectural model captures the heart of the Testimonial Community Love Center — a vision thoughtfully designed to serve and uplift the South LA community. Hollywood Handy is proud to be the team helping turn this vision into reality.

Special thanks to DNA Architecture + Design for the design leadership behind this project. A meaningful detail we love: the model was crafted by a former student of Val’s — who now teaches architecture at University of Southern California — making this a beautiful example of mentorship, education, and real-world impact coming full circle.

From concept to construction, this is how community-centered design becomes something lasting. 💙

🏗️🚧 Progress Update — Building in South LA 🚧🏗️

We’re bringing you along as construction continues at the Testimonial Community Love Center in South Los Angeles. Right now, it’s all about the groundwork — and yes, that means lots of dirt!

Our team is actively prepping the foundation, digging and shaping footings and stem walls, and getting the site ready for rebar installation. At the same time, we’re trenching for plumbing, laying the essential systems that will support this project from the ground up.

It may look raw, but this stage is critical. Strong foundations lead to lasting impact — and we’re excited to share each step as this community-focused project takes shape. 💪

More progress coming soon. Stay with us. 💙

✨🏗️ A Project Worth Revisiting 🏗️✨

As we look back on the Midnight Mission Women’s Recovery Center — a project we completed earlier — we’re reminded why this work matters so much to us.

This space was built with intention, compassion, and care, supporting healing, dignity, and stability for women on their recovery journey. Looking back at what we helped create, we couldn’t be more proud of the impact this project continues to have.

At Hollywood Handy, this is the kind of work that stays with us. 💙

✨💡 Final Touches Complete at The Midnight Mission Telehealth Center 💡✨

We’re proud to share the final LED donor signage now installed and glowing at the The Midnight Mission Telehealth Center — a meaningful finish that honors the supporters who help make access to care possible.

Huge thanks and props to Matt Sharf for the vision and leadership behind this project. Your thoughtful approach brought clarity, warmth, and purpose to the space — elevating both function and impact.

Grateful to be part of a build that blends innovation with compassion. Another detail done right, for a mission that truly matters. 💙

🏀✨ Grateful for the Invite! ✨🏀

Huge thank you to the LA Clippers for inviting our founder Alycia to an inspiring small business mixer and an incredible game night!

It’s always meaningful to connect with fellow entrepreneurs, community leaders, and organizations that truly support local businesses and the people building this city every day. The energy, the conversations, and the game made it a night to remember.

Appreciate the love, Clippers — thank you for championing small business and community. 🙏🏽💙

🏗️🚧 Work in Progress — Come Build With Us 🚧🏗️

We’re taking you along as construction moves forward at the Testimonial Community Love Center in South LA. Here’s a look at our concrete foundation footing trenches — a critical early stage that sets the structural backbone of the entire build.

It may not look glamorous yet, but this is where strength, safety, and longevity begin. Every step matters, and we’re excited to share the journey as progress unfolds.

More updates coming — this foundation is just the beginning. 💪
