A North Carolina police officer is now under investigation after a viral doorbell camera video sparked outrage online. The footage, recorded Friday in Shelby, appears to show an officer taking a woman to the ground and repeatedly punching her while straddling her during an arrest. As the video spread across social media, many questioned whether the amount of force used was justified. On Saturday, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation announced it had opened an investigation into allegations of excessive force involving the Shelby police officer. Officials say the SBI will conduct an independent review of the incident and examine the circumstances surrounding the arrest. Authorities have not yet released additional details about what led to the confrontation, and the investigation remains ongoing.

A Florida traffic citation has been dismissed after a woman claimed a deputy accused her of holding a cellphone in a hand she doesn’t even have. According to court records, the citation was dropped at the request of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy who issued it, and a scheduled court hearing was canceled after prosecutors dismissed the case. The incident gained national attention when the woman posted video of the traffic stop to TikTok. In the footage, the deputy tells her he observed a device in her right hand while she was driving. The woman repeatedly responds that she does not have a right hand and says she intends to challenge the citation in court. Despite that, she was cited under Florida’s handheld device law and faced a $116 fine. Once the video went viral and questions began mounting, the citation was quietly withdrawn. Critics say the case raises serious concerns about officer credibility and accountability, arguing that if the deputy’s observations were so clearly contradicted by reality, it calls into question the accuracy of the citation and whether the stop was justified in the first place.

Uber once reported sexual misconduct complaints every 8 minutes. Now critics say the company is backing a California measure that could make it harder for injured families to recover after serious accidents. California voters: are you voting to protect billion dollar corporations or everyday people? Research the measure before you vote. Link in bio.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Over the last decade, I’ve seen firsthand how one cell phone video can completely change the outcome of a traffic stop. Most Dash cams don’t work when cops tell you to turn the car off. I’ve personally had to use footage that was just audio to protect myself in court, and looking back, I honestly wish I had something like the Checkpoint ChargeDoc sooner.

That’s exactly why I created it. A simple way to keep your phone mounted, charged, and hands free when it matters most. One video can protect your rights, prove what really happened, and expose the truth.

Because video doesn’t forget. Video doesn’t get emotional. Video shows the truth. And in today’s world, our freedoms and fight for justice can depend on it. Check out the at getchargedoc.com

📍 Newport News,VA A video is going viral after showing an officer standing in front of a vehicle with his weapon drawn during a late night gathering in Newport News. Police say officers responded to a parking garage around 2 a.m. Sunday where 30 to 40 cars had gathered. According to investigators, a vehicle pulled out and passed closely behind an officer whose back was turned, leaving him only fractions of a second to react. Police claim the officer believed he was in danger and drew his weapon.

But people online are questioning what they’re seeing. To many, it looks like a cop standing directly in front of a car with a gun pointed at the driver. Insane situation all around. What does it look like to you?
