It’s giving Tuesday, and if you have the means to support nonprofit organizations working to make the world a better place, we hope you’ll consider doing so today. Our nonprofit work centers around creating community by creating ecology in Southern California. We believe in bringing people together through a shared love of the unique biodiversity of this place, and a commitment to protect and enhance the local environment. In the past year, we sent over 138,000 native plants into the region, reached tens of thousands of people through our outreach and education program, and offered our support to urban habitat projects throughout Los Angeles. All of this was done while increasing the base pay of our staff by 20%, and influencing the landscape industry to value workers and the amazing contribution that native plant horticulture can make to our society. None of this would be possible without the 546 donors and 2,697 members who supported us in the past year. Many thanks to each of you. If you’ve never made a donation, it’s easy! Just visit http://theodorepayne.org/donate/. We hope you’ll consider supporting Theodore Payne Foundation on and in your end of year plans with a tax deductible donation.
