UPDATE: Is this an acceptable repair? Is it just me it's looking a bit bulged to?
Is it just me it's looking a bit bulged to? Because of the plasterboard tucking in a bit?

Plasterer didn't use scrim tape as he said the bonding will not crack. There's also gaps which I guess he needed to fill rather than the scrim tape blocking it.

Job was:

insulate but leave section of where the leak above was incase of future leaks and quicker identification rather than insulation soaking it up

pack the joists and 12.5mm plasterboard

bonding

2 coats skim over the repaired area and 1 coat full ceiling (PVA was used too)

Is this acceptable? Our builder says this is normal on a newly plastered building

Angry customer threatening violence
Me and my team recently completed a rectification job for a new client. We reskimmed a full property which had been pretty much butchered and we left the work to the highest degree of quality.

A couple weeks later weve recieved a barrage of abuse and threats of violence from this client complaining about cracks in the wall but also he refused we ge back to survey/rectify the work.

We did go back for a checkup anyway and found about 6 - 7 hairline cracks which could've easily been rectified had he not messaged demanding we leave the property (which we did immediately).

Fast forward another week and now he's threatening that if we dont pay him £1450 he will have people come for us to collect it. Just wondering if anyone has came across this kind of behaviour before from a customer?

Any advice would be appreciated massively as ive had to tell the lads to take the rest of the week off and its affecting the team, I can't have them working in an environment that they're worried/dont feel safe in.

Plasterer has boarded our ceiling and left gaps of up to 15 mm between boards
Hi,

Hoping for a bit of advice and guidance on some recent ceiling boarding we’ve had completed.

The plasterer has boarded the ceilings and we’ve got some concerns about the longevity of the work based on the size of the gaps we are seeing. He said he just needs to bond the gaps before then plastering, but what would be considered too large a gap between sections of boarding?

I’m measuring gaps of 15 mm in some areas, or tapered sections where the gap starts off at 1 mm and then ends at 14 mm at the other end of the board.

But unsure what to do here. Hoping someone can help.

Quoted £750 & £2,500 - what is a fair price
Based on Manchester, UK and looking to get this small 2m x 3m room sorted before Christmas. The two exterior walls are blown so I think need taking back to brick and then boarded (dot & dab). Ceiling is loose so needs overboarding, then a full room skim coat.

I've had two quotes so far, one for £750 and another for £2,500 - the higher quote seems like fully taking the p**s but has me wondering now if I should be dubious of the lower one. Chap reckons he can have it done in 2 days. What would you say is a fair price for this work?

Quoted £760 for these bits… seems expensive?
To sand/cement and skim the wall and also board and skim a small ceiling area. I know the plasterer is good but budget is tight. Would be great to get some advice.

Looking for advice, we just had our plasterer finish the internal walls in our home, any plasterers here that can tell me if this is acceptable? And if not can get some advice on what to do the plasterer wants payment.

I've been quoted £120 and £240 for patching this hole, who's right?
I've had two plasterers quote fairly different sums for this work which looks like just a dry wall patch of about 11inches by 10 inches. What should I expect to pay for a good quality patch? Is the lower offer suspiciously cheap, is it worth paying a more expensive plasterer for peace of mind?
