We’ve transformed what was once a set of burnt-down garages into a brand-new four-unit development in the heart of Hollywood. It’s great to be working with !

This project includes 2 x 1-bedroom units downstairs and 2 x 2-bedroom units upstairs, creating much-needed housing in a beautiful Los Angeles neighborhood.

The internal design is all about openness, light, and livability, with a large open-plan kitchen and living space, plenty of windows, a sunroof, in-unit washer and dryer, and a spacious primary suite with a walk-in closet.

This is a great example of how thoughtful design and smart construction can turn an underused space into something modern, practical, and beautiful.

We love it!

Projects like this add real value to the property, as well as more of the much-needed housing here in LA.

June gloom in LA…but it’s been a productive week so far.

We are on the site of what was once Mr. Katz’s home. The lot has been cleared, the survey corners are set, the grading is underway, and we know exactly where every wall, every room, and every roofline is going.

This is the moment before the foundation gets poured, when the blank lot still holds all possibility (even though we know exactly how the new house is going to look!).

There’s something special about standing on bare earth knowing a brand new home is about to rise from it. The Katz family trusts us with that, and we appreciate it.

We’ll be documenting this build from the ground up. Literally. Stay tuned.

We’re here in the Fairfax district at this beautiful fourplex, where we’ve been working with Stacey at Pretty Put Together to modernize the property while still keeping the charm of its original 1920s architecture.

One of the things we love most about this project is how the design keeps so many of those classic details alive. From the curved windows and archways to the coved ceilings and wood windows, there’s so much character in this home.

We also added a stunning fireplace surround with a plaster finish that mimics limestone, which gives the space an elegant focal point while still keeping it simple, warm, and easy for future tenants to make their own.

It’s always exciting when a project comes together in a way that feels both fresh and timeless, and this fourplex is a great example of how thoughtful construction and interior design can work hand in hand to create something really special.

Once the framing is up for a new home, the next big question is…where does everything go?

This is the stage where we map out all the systems, whether it’s electrical, plumbing, or another part of the home’s ecosystem.

We use a design board to plan every detail before anything gets run: kitchen and bath elevations, shower heights, sink placement, where the outlets go.

Getting this right in the rough stage is what ensures the finished home looks and functions exactly as intended. It’s not the most glamorous part of a build, but it’s definitely one of the most important!

Next Monday is Demo Day 💥 here in Mid-City LA!

We are getting ready to start an exciting new project that the owners have been planning for seven years, and it will completely transform their property.

We’re taking a one-story house almost all the way down and rebuilding it into a beautiful new two-story home.

There’s excitement, anticipation and eagerness to get this new home in motion!

We’re here at the steel and wood framing stage of a brand-new four-unit ADU build, where a couple of old garages were falling apart and no longer making the best use of the space.

Right now this property is being transformed into four new units, with two smaller ones on the bottom and two larger ones above.

We wanted to keep the space open for parking and avoid adding more walls than necessary, this build called for a smart combination of steel and wood construction.

Using both materials together allows us to create these wider spans, build efficiently, and make the most of the property’s rental potential.

This is a great example of how smart construction can open up more possibilities for a property and turn an underused space into something far more valuable.

One of the many great things about building a house from the ground up is that you get to completely reset everything. The decor, the living space, the energetic flow of the house, and all the elements you can think of.

We’re at the final stages of a bathroom renovation for this Altadena home build and have four different color samples on the wall. It’s a family meeting with Mason, Susie, her daughter, and their home builders (ARM Builders!) to decide which color works best.

It’s important to let kids have a say in the decision since it’s their bathroom, and we defer to what they want for the space.

We love it when a plan comes together. There’s nothing we like more than a thrilled client who loves their new home!

These are the finishing stages of a complete home rebuild that we did in Altadena after the tragic fires. Artur and his family have a brand-new home that has more square footage than before, is more eco-friendly, is more personally tailored to their needs and lifestyle, and is an even better place to live!

There is an important principle to "begin with the end in mind," and it applies whether you are building your home from the ground up, creating an ADU, a home addition or even just adding one more room.

One of the first steps in any new construction is choosing your architect - and building contractor! - and we encourage clients to really imagine the final moment when you step into your newly-finished rooms - what does it look like? What is the vibe? What are the details you are enjoying?
