New study from Harvard underscores the importance of immigrant labor in the construction industry. Not that you needed a study to prove it if you spend any time at construction sites. Turns out that the Dallas Fort Worth area has one of the highest proportions of immigrant labor - 61% of the workforce. We looked around us, and realized that, for all intents and purposes, much of our neighborhood of Elysian Valley (AKA Frogtown) is already built out to SB9 densities. Could this type of “stealth density”, half-size lots and duplexes be a model for other neighborhoods?
