It’s stories like these that fill my heart with gratitude for humanity and admire those who are here to help the world heal.

These reflections came to me during a period of grief. For a long time, I used various methods like drugs, alcohol, po*******hy, and mindless media entertainment—quick dopamine hits—to escape from facing pain.
I’ve been working to eliminate these addictions from my life one by one. As I’ve done so, I’ve found myself with no choice but to look inward and confront the very root of my issues.
This experience has led me to ponder: How do you manage pain in your own life? What aren’t you facing and when you do confront the truth, how do you heal?
