Pretty proud of how this job turned out. From starting this past January, we first completed the shoreline erosion project, we removed several trees and shrubs, and then by adding fabric, gravel, and rip-rap, we succeeded in eliminating any erosion from boat wakes. We also installed a functional culvert drain to carry runoff water away from the beach.
The next part of the project was simply cleaning up the sides of the beach, and designing the beds and choosing plants. We went with matte black metal edging, planted some more hydrangeas at the owner's request, and added in a few cannalilly and foxtail grasses for diversity, and then mulched the beds with shredded hardwood mulch.
The project came in under budget, met or exceeded their expectations, and really made a dramatic difference in the asthetic appeal of their property from the water. All in all I couldn't be happier with the work we did, and a BIG THANK YOU goes out to my dad Bill Craig and my good friend David Hicks for all their help on this project. Couldn't have done any of it without you guys. 👍👍
We still have several other projects we're completing at this property, but I wanted to take a minute to recognize how far we've come already...
