Why don't Big Box Stores have some policy or plan in place to retrieve shopping carts? Sometimes these are miles away from the business and when you call to report they tell you they have no way of getting them. There are literally thousands of unaccounted carts in our community.

Does it really matter if I choose not to take care of my property?

Okay, guess what? No one is going to steal the couch. We love it when people think that they can place it on the curb and think that someone will take it....It almost never happens. The garbage company won't take it because it could be infested with bedbugs. Please wrap your couch in plastic and notify the garbage company a few days in advance. It it is vinyl or leather, you may not have to wrap it. Check with your garbage company. It amazes me that it will set on the curb for weeks and the resident thinks nothing of it. In this case, the property owner hired someone to come and remove it.

Either get rid of it, or put it in the garage. Abandon, non-operational vehicles take away from the neighborhood and depreciate neighboring homes.

No one likes to rake leaves. However, leaves can stop up storm grates which can result in flooding of a street. It's a bigger problem when rain soaked leaves freeze. Be a good neighbor and always rake or mulch your leaves. (Please do not use the excuse-I'm waiting for all the leaves on the trees to fall-that's a poor excuse..)
