Somewhere between lion and lamb...

March winds don’t just bring April showers…
they also leave behind a little extra clean-up for all of us.

With the kind of winter we’ve had, and all the wind lately, we’ve been seeing a lot of yards with:

The last little patches of snow have more than likely surrendered this week after two glorious 70-degree days here in South Eastern PA.

Sunshine, blue skies, and that feeling that spring might actually be on its way.

You know what that means… Under all that melting snow are the little reminders of what winter leaves behind:

🍂 leaves packed in beds
🌿 branches and debris
🌱 lawns waking up again

This is usually the moment when homeowners start looking around the yard, thinking, "Alright ... it's almost time."" Over the next few weeks, we'll be getting ready for:

Welcome to fake spring part 1!

Sunshine. Blue skies. Grass peeking through.

After several days of fog, clouds, & rain, today certainly feels like a gift!

But winter might not be done with us just yet.

While everyone is dreaming about spring planting, sunshine, and green grass, we are watching every weather outlet we can to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature sends our way in the next 24+ hours.

We can neither confirm nor deny that the unofficial CJ’s Lawn Care groundhog saw his shadow. 🦫

What we can confirm is that he had perfect direction on how to use the light for a great photo… and clearly didn’t skip personal styling.

Here’s what we do know—mowing season will be here before we know it. 🌱

Based on the last couple of years, we’re about 8–9 weeks out from the first cuts of the season. That means now’s a great time to start thinking about weekly mowing, spring clean-ups, and getting on the schedule early.

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes.

Hey friends! We know it’s been a hot minute, let’s just say the CJ’s Lawn Care and Property Maintenance family has been B-U-S-Y!

We finished up 2025 with 4 winter weather events in December and then this past weekend we had 2 events back to back. During this mid January double play event, we dropped over 17,000 pounds of salt! 😳

Today was spent making preparations for whatever Mother Nature wants to bring our way for this weekend. That meant a salt run!

We can’t thank everyone enough for their continued support of CJ’s Lawn Care!

❄ 'Twas the night before the first snowstorm of the season (CJ's Lawn Care style)❄

’Twas the night before the first snowfall and all through the yard,
Not a mower was running… Carter finally clocked out (kinda) — it’s been hard.

The leaf blowers were snoozing, the w**d eater too,
Even the trimmer said, “Buddy, I’m done. That’s all you.”

But Carter looked up at the sky with a stare,
Because Tuesday’s forecast said, “Snow? — BEWARE.”

So he grabbed his gloves, hooked up the plows, and said with a grin,
“Well… guess lawn season’s out. Let winter begin.”

If the flakes actually fall (because who even knows),
CJ’s will be ready for whatever Mother Nature throws. ❄️😂

It's been a bit busy for the team at CJ's Lawn Care, which we love!

We recently had the opportunity to do a partial lawn rehab where an above-ground pool once stood.

This was a multi-part project where the old ground covering of sand & mulch was removed. New topsoil was brought in to fill the area where the pool had stood on the sand. The new topsoil was then leveled out and seeded. To finish off the project, the seed and new topsoil were tucked in nicely with some straw.

The result...an area where a nice, healthy lawn is ready to thrive again.

The CJ’s Lawn Care crew recently attended the Expo in Louisville. Let’s just say this expo was 🤯 !

✅ Mowers and equipment were tested

✅ New equipment and tools were added to the fleet

✅ Conversations about systems and operations were had.

It was a great experience and we can’t wait for next year!

We have hit the ground running upon our return. End of season mowing is in full swing as is scheduling for fall clean-up. 🍂 🍁
