Beware of salespeople offering “free inspections” of your solar PV systems. A company is calling and texting solar customers in Kentucky, often claiming to be with manufacturers Solar Edge or Enphase, suggesting that people’s systems are under-performing. They have made blatantly false claims and are trying to get their foot in the door to make sales for batteries or maintenance services. Beware of companies making cold calls, texts, or knocking on your door, making claims about the performance of your personal solar equipment. Ask them how they got your personal contact information and private data about your PV system. If you have questions about the performance of your PV system, contact your original installation contractor. Before signing a contract, get multiple estimates and talk about it with someone you trust.
