A look at our crews in action on the North Bluff Transmission Line project for LES.
This 12-foot diameter, 64-foot deep cage was set in a drilled pier for a 345 kV transmission line. The work involved nearly 270 cubic yards of concrete and over 33,000 pounds of reinforcing steel—requiring coordination between two cranes to set safely under an existing de-energized transmission line.
Due to groundwater, the team also had to slurry case the drilled pier to ensure stability.
Proud of the precision and teamwork it takes to complete a critical caisson like this!

We’re excited to share a first look at our North Bluff Substation project with LES.
Peak crews recently completed the installation and connection of copper ground runs before backfilling for the below-grade ground grid.
Also pictured is the nearly complete installation of the precast cable trench—just a few end sections and trench lids remain to be set.
