The temperatures the next several nights are going to cause a lot of water pipes to freeze if the sink is on an outside wall. Leave those cabinet doors wide open to try and get some heat in the cabinet.

We haven't had temperatures like we're gonna have tonight in years. If you have any faucets on an outside wall (and they have frozen in past years) it’s very important to leave the cabinet doors open and let the faucet constantly drip. If you have a small space heater you can place that several feet from the cabinet as well, but be careful that there's nothing flammable in the cabinet. If that room stays really warm then you wont need the space heater. Good luck and stay warm.

To all my customers.....each night for the next week is supposed to be 20 degrees or LOWER. If you have any sink faucets located on an outside wall you need to leave the cabinet doors open to allow extra heat into the cabinet. If the pipes supplying water to a particular faucet have a history of freezing then open the doors and place a space heater a few feet from the cabinet and let it keep the cabinet warm. Also open that particular faucet (tub/shower faucet too) and let a very small trickle of water run all night. I know you're thinking that you're wasting water and money, but believe me it will be much more expensive to cut a big hole in the wall to repair the broken pipes. Don't forget to remove the garden hoses too. If you cant get the hose off then take a knife or saw and cut the hose off as close to the faucet as you can. Once your hose is disconnected you can protect it by purchasing a styrofoam cover at your local hardware store and attaching it to the faucet. It's easy. Hope this helps everyone and we all make it through this extremely cold stretch of weather problem free.

Okay everybody the overnight temperatures starting this Thursday (0 degrees) through next Tuesday (21 degrees) are going to cause some problems for you if your garden house is still attached. You need to disconnect it NOW. Also if you have a bathroom sink faucet(s) or a kitchen faucet located on an outside wall the water pipes are more likely to freeze so be sure to open up the cabinet doors to allow heat in. With the cold weather approaching, it's that time of year where a sudden freeze can damage your outside faucet if the garden hose is still attached. Go outside and disconnect your hose! If it is hard to unscrew, sq**rt some WD-40 on the connection.

If it still doesn't want to come off, be very careful because if you break it off, it becomes a very expensive repair. If you have any trouble, call me! 502-777-5570
