What does “custom” actually mean?
We just finished the reception desk in our showroom — three workstations, built entirely from our standard base cabinets and matching panels, heavily modified.
That’s the part most people don’t know: a lot of “custom” cabinetry in this market is modification work. Stock boxes, cut down, re-faced, re-paneled, and finished to fit the space. Done well, you can’t tell the difference — and it costs a fraction of true custom millwork.
Because we run our own factory, we do the modifications in house. Most run around $200 per cabinet.
The stone is natural Cristallo quartzite from Brazil — around $8K a slab. The quartz crystals in it are why it lights up like that from behind. If the budget doesn’t allow, there are engineered quartz lookalikes that get close.
