I don't mind competition in my line of work. Matter of fact I like to collaborate with other contractors. But for those who don't, then to each their own. We used to be the cheapest around (thus where we got our name, Cheepos) but lately we've been losing some jobs to some that bid really cheap. Which gets me thinking that they're cutting their own throats to get the work or they're cutting corners. We bid our jobs based on what all it needs to get the job done right at a fair price. Low price, High quality. You get more for what you pay for. Just enough to where we make an honest living. On the other hand, cheaper is not always better. I had people call me back after they had already gotten someone cheaper than us and they messed up their job, asking me if we could fix their mess ups. Which we most of the time would have to breakout their concrete and redo it right. Which cost more than the first time I estimated it. So sometimes cheaper will end up costing you more in the end. I hope everyone is having a great day and God bless!
