Elliott and Russell began working together on land development, subdivision development and home building over 40 years ago. Their business grew into commercial construction and renovation of Elliott and Russell’s own real estate investments, as well as real estate brokerage across Lubbock, Texas. The partners created James Morgan, Ltd. to begin development and construction of their jointly owned
assets in residential land development and commercial land assets. All assets currently owned by James Morgan, Ltd. were constructed and contracted within their own company. James Morgan Construction LLC was later founded to begin contracting outside James Morgan owned assets in 2018. Holly Reed, under direction of Elliott and Russell is project manager at James Morgan Construction. Reed is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts. Later, Reed obtained her real estate license in order to represent owners as a licensed Real Estate Agent in 2015. Prior to entering the commercial real estate and construction field, Mrs. Reed was an oil and gas landman where she negotiated contracts, created royalty packages and performed title research and mineral ownership research. Holly has been with James Morgan, Ltd. In that time, she has come to manage all sub-contractor bidding, plans preparation with Architects and Engineers, project scheduling, construction logistics, utilities negotiation and scheduling, City of Lubbock permitting and planning & zoning logistics, communications between superintendents and sub-contractors, communications with owners, among other items. On the real estate side, Reed works with Elliott and Russell on their commercial endeavors of leasing office and retail properties; buying land and investment projects as well as selling such projects and land. Reed has handled many complex real estate transactions such as 1031 exchanges, subdivision sales, business park and POA transfer sales, national retail and restaurant negotiations, medical and special use sales and leasing. Holly has also combined her real estate and commercial construction knowledge to care for clients through the entire process of purchase/ leasing to construction completion. She is one of the only real estate agents in Lubbock with experience in both commercial real estate and construction.
