Last week we had a fun time redoing rotted cedar fascia and adding some gutters to this beautiful home!

Being in construction, I’ve never understood why builders are putting flat cedar planks in place of traditional fascia, but here we are! 😅 I’ve seen so many newer homes in south Lubbock that are having rotting issues with these cedar planks. The only thing we can do is remove and replace it! It’s a fairly affordable way to add value to your home! If you’re noticing these issues, we’re your company to come in and get it replaced! Just finished up a fun little project on the far south side of Lubbock this past week! The customers had some newer teenage drivers that were parking their cars out in the West Texas weather and, needless to say, needed somewhere to keep them out of the elements!

We poured the cement foundation and built this steel frame surrounded by functional R paneling. Masonry needs?? We have you covered! This customer lives in a an area where the HOA requires detached shops and garages to be wrapped with a certain percentage of brick/stone/stucco that match the home.

The original builder never wrapped this garage so, lucky for us, we had privilege of doing it for them! We did a 4 foot tall wainscoting of brick around the entire shop and then topped the garage entrance with a Texas Mix stone that made this shop look top notch! Another before/after post! This was such a fun project!! The “before” was a cast stone fireplace that weighed close to a ton 😅 No lie. The homeowners felt like it didn’t fit the overall aesthetic of their home (which was exactly right!). It looked like the builder put this fireplace in the wrong house, honestly. Lucky for us!

The homeowners knew exactly what they wanted and we got to follow their vision. I think it came together better than any of us had ever imagined! It might have been Thanksgiving week but the work doesn’t stop! We had the opportunity to get some concrete poured for some of our customers this week!

We removed existing rock from the east side of the driveway to make room for a concrete extension that opens up a bit more room for cars to park in the driveway.

We recently had the opportunity to remove and rebuild a dilapidated retaining wall that was about 30 years old! 😳 The homeowners were insistent on keeping the rustic railroad ties aesthetic to which we were more than happy to oblige 😊

FYI- railroad ties are heavy 😅😅 but we fought through it! We retrenched the area to give the wall a straight and consistent look after 30 years of settling and weather had taken a toll. This bathroom renovation was NEXT LEVEL!! 😅😎 the first two images are the BEFORE…and everything else is the AFTER. These awesome clients had an amazing vision and I feel like we delivered!

This “wet room” vision originated from a unique (and very outdated) layout where the vanity and toilet area sat separated from the 1980’s style whirlpool bath tub/shower area. It took a lot of effort to invision what this would become after the first day on the job…but!! We made it happen!

We demoed the entire area- from the whirlpool bath tub back to the vanity, and all the way to the doorway to the master bedroom- then rerouted plumbing and electrical, installed floor tile, wall tile, countertops, cabinets, lights, a chandelier, fixtures, crown molding, mirrors, custom glass panels, and a beautiful custom-stained tongue and groove ceiling. We also, mudded, taped and bedded, textured, and painted. Whew. 😅

Without writing a novel, this ended up beyond what we imagined. A master bath/wet room area that looks like something out of a magazine. Let us know if we can help you transform any area of your home to being your ideas to life. 806-778-6954 or [email protected]

One of our favorite families wanted something super special for their daughter’s 5th birthday! This custom playhouse was so much fun to build from scratch. They had an idea of what they wanted so they showed us few pictures and I feel like we delivered! As I always say, no job is too big or too small so give us a call!
