❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️
OFFICIALLY IN COLD WEATHER PROTOCOL:
With below freezing temperatures, snow, and icy conditions expected across Massachusetts and Connecticut over the next next few weeks, we wanted to share a few important reminders to keep your roof, solar system, and family safe.
❄️SYSTEM DURABILITY AND PERFORMANCE:
Our system are designed to withstand harsh New England winters, including snow, ice, wind, and freezing temperatures.
-Snow and ice typically do not damage your solar panels--they are built and tested for these conditions.
Decreased production is temporary, and is normal and expected.
🚫DO NOT REMOVE SNOW AND ICE FROM PANELS:
-Climbing on your roof or using tools can cause serious personal injury, damage to panels, wiring or roofing materials, void warranties.
-Do not chip, scrape, or pry from either your roof or panels.
-Snow and ice will melt and shed naturally as temperatures fluctuate and sunlight increases.
✅WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
-Visually monitor your system from the ground. If you notice unusual issues, please contact us directly.
-Be aware that the shedding snow may fall into walkways, driveways and other ground-level areas. Take appropriate caution.
-Trust your system.
We will continue monitoring conditions closely and are here if you have any questions or concerns. Should maintenance issues arise, be assured we will schedule your appointment at the appropriate time for both your system and our team's safety.
Stay warm and stay safe!
