Today is WORLD GORILLA DAY! 🦍🥳
Gorilla’s are amazing creatures on so many levels! Gentle and community focused these creatures are extremely intelligent. This picture is of Pablo. A legend who united numerous gorillas troops (families) in a time a peace during his leadership.
Did you know they share 98.4% of their DNA with humans and they have unique nose prints similar to human fingerprints that can actually be used to identify individuals. I encourage everyone to learn more about them and to also please donate. There are numerous avenues of doing so and they still need our help with conservation. I’ll list some sites below for information and donations. You can also purchase bracelets and stuff animals through Fahlo that let you track real gorillas! They also give you updates through the app. One can be purchased for as low as $15.
I hope everyone has a great day and takes some time to learn more about this incredible species!
