Brought home a cement mixer today so the rumors are true. we are getting into the ready mix business! You will need a good team of draft horses and a steam engine to rent it since our new mixer is 105 years old! It’s a 1919 Rex Mixer, 7 sack hopper, worked on pouring the original Lynden Darigold plant back in the day!! Oh, and by the way a Costco size 55 gallon barrel of WD 40 might make the day go by better 🙀😎

THE COUNTDOWN IS ALMOST DOWN TO ZERO!
We're getting thisclose to The 2024 Lynden Farmers Day Parade brought to the community by Peoples Bank (WA), and those participating with an entry getting their parade entry form in by the end of this work week, before noon on Friday, would be simply wonderful for all parties concerned!

Once participants get their entry form into us (Cousin Carla, your entry is in, not to be confused with Cousin Karla, who probably isn't having an entry), then we start some staging, or order of flow, if that makes more sense.
We begin to divide the entries by music or non-music.
Is the entry animal powered, people powered, or vehicle powered?
Entry form in pre-deadline or post-deadline?
Marching band or walking group?
Tractor, truck, pickup or car?
Old tractor, pickup, or car, or a new tractor pickup, or car?
Tractor pulling something a wagon or some other farm equipment? Tractor club member?
Two-cylinder or PSATMA?
Ag or non-Ag?
Youngsters or not-so-youngsters?
Non-profit or commercial? Riders or non-riders?
Where were they placed last year?
First time or long time?
And of course, were they nice and respectable when they made contact?
Didn't act as though they were somehow named the Grand Poo-Ba of the parade, and as if the world would stop revolving if they aren't accommodated for every whim?
Don't need the dreaded follow-up call of "Mmmm, sorry, our sandbox isn't for you to play in"?

Then assign number, get numbers in packets for stagers so stagers can give to entries upon arrival (No, no numbers are handed out before hand. You'll know when you get there)

So, all that just to say get them entry forms in, and we thank you in advance for you helping us put on a great parade!

Our new Alliance 32ZZ showing up Friday! We are replacing our older 32ZZ which was( and still is !) a great pump, so looking forward to years of great service out of her! She will need a name though! Any suggestions?
