Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the precious children You have entrusted to me. As they walk into a new school year today, I place each one of them completely in Your hands.
Lord, go before them. Walk beside them through every hallway, sit with them in every classroom, and be with them in every moment when I cannot be.
Protect them physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Put Your angels around them and keep them safe from harm, danger, bullying, bad influences, and anything that is not meant for them.
Give them confidence when they feel nervous, courage when they feel unsure, and peace when they feel overwhelmed. Remind them that they are wonderfully made, deeply loved, and never alone.
Father, surround my children with good friends—children who are kind, loyal, encouraging, and who bring out the best in them. Give my children the courage to walk away from people and situations that could lead them down the wrong path.
Bless their teachers with patience, wisdom, compassion, and understanding. Help their teachers see the unique gifts inside each of my children.
Open my children’s minds to learn. Give them focus, understanding, determination, and confidence in their abilities. When something is difficult, help them remember that struggling does not mean failing—it means they are learning.
And Lord, please protect their hearts. The world can sometimes be unkind. When someone says something hurtful, remind them that their worth does not come from the opinions of other people. Their worth comes from You.
Let them be a light wherever they go. Help them notice the child who is lonely, stand up for what is right, show kindness when others don’t, and never be afraid to be exactly who You created them to be.
Please calm my heart as their mama, too. When I can’t see them, remind me that You can. When I can’t protect them, remind me that You are already there. Help me release my worries and trust that the same God who has carried them this far will continue carrying them.
May this school year bring growth, laughter, friendships, accomplishments, beautiful memories, and countless reminders of Your goodness.
Lord, cover my babies today and every day.
Go before them.
Stand behind them.
Walk beside them.
And when they need strength, remind them to look above them.
I place them in Your hands, Lord—the safest place they could ever be.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. ❤️
