Georgia has also announced an August 10, 2026 submission deadline for qualifying fuel-switching HEAR projects. If you are considering replacing a gas water heater with an electric heat-pump water heater, now is the time to explore your options.

💙 Households below 80% of Area Median Income may qualify for up to 100% of eligible project costs.

💙 Households between 80% and 150% of Area Median Income may qualify for up to 50% of eligible project costs.

The rebate cannot exceed the program’s $1,750 heat-pump water-heater limit.
