Mya LeAnn Harrington, 21 of Macclenny, passed from this life far too soon, on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Mya was the beloved daughter of Brian Harrington and Lea (Taylor) Harrington, born on April 9, 2003. Mya grew up cheerleading, beginning at the age of nine and eventually became a captain of the Baker County Wildcats sideline and competition cheer teams. She loved hunting and being outdoors and recently got into shooting since she began her career with the Florida Department of Corrections.
Mya loved old school country music and her cowgirl boots. Above all else, Mya was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend whose memory will live on through those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Martha Ann Harrington.
She is survived by her parents, Lea and Brian Harrington both of Macclenny; sister, Zoe Harrington; paternal grandparents, Gary and Hilda Harrington; maternal grandparents, Frank and Linda Taylor; aunts and uncles, Kari Harrington, Simone Fouraker, Chad (Sharmon) Taylor, Clint (Kelly) Taylor, Klate Harrington, and Bryan Harrington; cousins, Haley (Dillon) Jones, Chase (Jackie) Taylor, Chandler (Bridget) Taylor, Anthony (Mackenzie) Taylor, Alexis Davis, Kylen Dunnaway, and Kierstin Tate; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Christian Fellowship Temple. A Celebration of Mya’s Life will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Christian Fellowship Temple with Rev. Simone Fouraker and Pastor David Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Crews Cemetery, 20331 SR-100, Lake Butler, Florida 32054.
