This is a full-time, on-site role for an Experienced Electrician based in Macon, GA. The role involves performing electrical installations, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The Experienced Electrician is expected to ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards, diagnose and fix electrical system issues, and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and codes to complete projects efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

*Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Electricity and Electrical Work
*Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair and troubleshooting electrical systems
*Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles and their practical applications
*Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
*Familiarity with state and local electrical codes and safety standards
*Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
*Relevant certifications or licensing in electrical work may be required
*Previous experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical projects is preferred.

Commercial Electrical Superintendent

Middle Georgia Electric is seeking a qualified skilled Commercial Electrical Superintendent. This position involves overseeing all electrical aspects of a project, from planning to implementation, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and according to specifications. The Electrical Superintendent will collaborate with engineers, other contractors, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of electrical systems/items within designated timeframes and budgets. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.

Responsibilities & Duties
• Supervise and coordinate all activities of other electrical workers on-site.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other project documentation.
• Plan and execute electrical installations according to project specifications.
• Monitor project progress and conduct quality inspections to ensure proper installations.
• Manage project schedules, material procurement, and budget adherence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with other departments and subcontractors to ensure seamless project integration.
• Inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience in large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proven track record of successfully managing electrical teams and projects.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction or maintenance
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditions along with climbing ladder, lifting, pulling, and standing long periods at a time.
• Must have own Hand Tools
• Must be flexible to work long and different hours with exposure to temperatures and noises.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must meet company requirements for pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Your electrical meter itself and the service lines are the property and responsibility of your utility company, you (the customer) are responsible for the meter box, the riser, attachment hardware, and the weather head. If your meter box or the pole it is attached is damaged, a certified electrician will have to acquire permits and restore your property to code before the power company will restore service.
