🚨 STORM ALERT | NORTH GEORGIA 🌀
NOW IS THE TIME TO PREPARE!
As the threat of severe weather approaches North Georgia, SERVPRO Team Wilson Alliance is encouraging homeowners, businesses, and our surrounding communities to take precautions TODAY, before conditions begin to deteriorate.
⚠️ WHAT TO EXPECT:
💨 PROLONGED STRONG WINDS: Extended periods of tropical-storm-force wind gusts could result in downed trees, property damage, and widespread power outages.
🌧️ HEAVY RAINFALL: Repeated bands of heavy rain could produce localized flooding, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
🌪️ ISOLATED TORNADOES: Fast-moving storm bands may produce brief, spin-up tornadoes with little advance warning.
⏰ WHEN WILL CONDITIONS WORSEN?
Conditions are expected to deteriorate across North Georgia after midnight tonight and continue throughout Saturday.
One of the biggest concerns with this system is the repeated feeder bands moving through our area. We may experience periods of relatively calm weather followed by sudden, significant increases in wind and rainfall.
DO NOT mistake a temporary break in the weather for the storm being over.
🏠 TAKE ACTION NOW:
✅ Secure outdoor furniture, equipment, and loose items.
✅ Charge phones, flashlights, and backup batteries.
✅ Prepare for possible extended power outages.
✅ Have multiple ways to receive emergency weather alerts.
✅ Avoid unnecessary travel during severe conditions.
✅ Know where to shelter if a tornado warning is issued.
